Aeration by Water Equipment And Treatment Services (WETS)
WETS LLC offers a wide variety of high-efficiency aeration processes and equipment. Our aerators are highly efficient for VOC stripping and gas stripping.
Our unique distributor, vessel internal components, and in-house blower design exhibit very low-pressure loss for flow distribution. Based on the level of contaminants and specified efficiency, WETS can provide an aerator, VOC stripper or degassifier. They are designed to perform under a variety of demanding specifications, including the treatment for VOCs, iron oxidation, hydrogen sulfide, ammonia, radon, methane, carbon dioxide, and THM.
We offer above ground and elevated aerators to meet the client requirements. WETS aerators are widely used for iron oxidation and THM removal. Aerators can be induced draft or forced draft.
What is Aeration?
When to use Aeration?
Many Industrial and Municipal wastewater treatment plants use the Aeration process. Aerator in water treatment plant works in the secondary treatment process. The aerator activates the sludge process by pumping air into a tank, which results in increased microbial growth in the wastewater. These microbes start eating the organic material and form the flocks that get settled easily. After they get settled in a separate settling tank, these bacteria flocks are then dispersed back to the aeration pool with an aim to increase the decomposition rate.
Importance of Aeration in Water Treatment or Wastewater Treatment:
In the Aeration process, Aerator in water treatment plant is considered as the most crucial element of the aeration water treatment system when the sludge process is activated. A clever aeration water treatment system leaves a direct and deep impact on the wastewater treatment level it achieves.
Types of Aerators in Wastewater Treatment:
Aerator in water treatment plant plays a vital role in the Aeration process. Types of Aerators in Wastewater Treatment are as follows;
- Air Diffuser Basins
- Spray Aerator
- Gravity Aerator or Free Fall Aerator
- Cascade Aerators
- Inclined Apron Aerators
- Slat Tray Aerators
- Gravel Bed Aerators
Types of Surface Aeration and Subsurface Aeration
- Low-Speed Surface Aerator
- Floating Surface Aerators
- Paddlewheel Aerators
- Jet Aeration
